Another new month starts and that means it's Crafting Together with All Brands YouTube Hop time. The theme is "CAS (Clean & Simple) Cards".

Well I gotta be honest and say that embracing the white space is something I really struggle with as I love to add lots of little bits to my cards. My finished card does not necessarily fit the CAS description - minimal layers & embellishments & embracing the white space - but my finished card is CAS for the way I create 😂

My card for the YouTube Hop features my new Build A Butterfly stamps & matching outline & inline dies. The butterfly has been built up using different stamped elements to make the butterfly image I wanted to create.
The Build A Butterfly stamps allow you to become the designer as you make the butterfly that suits the project you are making. It is a stylised butterfly not "real" persay, but that then makes it truly original. I decided to use Phill Martin's Sentimentally Yours Colour Radiance alcohol pens to colour all the different butterfly parts.
I added a little light stencilling in the background and finished off with some washi strips & a sentiment. Both these are from Dolly Dimples Creative Sticker Collection #1. I decided to add my finished design on to a different card base which I think looks much better - in my eyes.
Today is all about you!
Whilst I was making my video I did a "side project" as had another idea which I needed to see if it would work! I have used different colours this time but kept the same butterfly design.
I have used Dolly Dimples Botanical stamps set #3 in the background and this time coloured both sides of the butterfly using paints. For this card, the butterfly is facing the opposite way. This shows that your butterfly can be flying in any direction you want.
Again I have added washi strips & a clear sentiment sticker from Dolly Dimples Crafts Creative Sticker collection #1. The topper piece has been mounted on to Dolly Dimples Crafts Antique Kraft card.
