Shady Designs Make A Mark stamp set - 2 card ideas

When I designed the Shady Designs Make A Mark stamp set, I wanted it to be lots of different things rolled in to one. I wanted it to be for cardmaking, art journal pages, background builder, create borders ... the list in my head was endless.

Today I am sharing two card ideas which are similar but have slight differences ...

Our friendship soothes my soul

I have taken the main focal stamp from Shady Designs Make A Mark stamp set and stamped it up vertically using Versafine Clair Nocturne ink. Next using the Shady Designs This Way, That Way stencil, with mowed lawn distress ink, I added a little subtle background.

Using different archival inks, (listed at bottom of this post), I added some stamped detail. The stamps used were also from Shady Designs Make A Mark stamp set.

On a separate piece of card, I stamped the small images from the Shady Designs Make A Mark stamp set. I have again used different coloured archival inks - see bottom of the post for all colours used. I cut these images out and layered them up with 3D foam.

The sentiment is also from Shady Designs Make A Mark stamp set, stamped and then cut out to make a banner.The card was finished with a few sequins.

Good times + crazy friends = amazing memories

This time, I have stamped the main focal images from Shady Designs Make A Mark stamp set horizontally on to my card. I have used rustic wilderness distress ink. I water coloured the image with the same ink.

On another piece of card, I stamped the leaf part of the main Shady Designs Make A Mark image using mowed lawn. Water coloured the leaves, cut them out and added to my card. This time I placed the leaves to the bottom.

As for the first card, I stamped out the smaller images, using the same archival ink colours (see below) and added them to my card. These have been layered up with 3D foam.

The sentiment is from Shady Designs Printed Paper & Card Collection. However you can now get the sentiment sheet individually. As my finishing touch, I add a few faux gems.

Even though the cards are very similar, they also look different too. If you did not want to cut out the leaves, (second card), it would be easy to stamp below the central line to give a fuller effect.
