Discovering the Advantages of Card Making Kits:

Card making kits provide a plethora of benefits, making them an excellent choice for crafters of all skill levels. When I designed the "A Bit on the Side" collection, I wanted the kit to give you opportunities to try a new style, plus also achieve fabulous results too.

Here are FIVE quick projects I made using the different sized toppers in the A Bit On The Side Toppers & More Kit.

Idea #1

I have taken the topper & cut in to it to make a window effect adding a piece of backing paper behind - also in the A Bit On The Side Toppers & More kit. I added the sentiment to the centre and a few extra flowers. These are from the "Make Your Own Bit" stamp set.

For this card, I have used three of the toppers. These have been separated with ribbons before being layered on to each other. Before layering these on to a card matt layer, I placed a piece of backing papers, (from the A Bit On The Side Toppers & More kit). Card was then finished off with some flowers I found in my stash.

Idea #3

In the A Bit On The Side card kit, there are several tag shaped topper designs. Using one of these I have placed it on a piece of backing paper from the A Bit On The Side Toppers & More kit. Using a tag punch, I punched out some smaller tags and added a few stamped flowers from "Today's Bit" stamp set.

Idea #4

This circle topper has simply been cut out and then layered on to die cut circle card layers to make a circular card. Added extras are from different A Bit On The Side stamp sets. Final finishing touch was to add some pearl & gold gems.

Idea #5

The topper for this card has been mounted on to a background I found in my scrap box and the colours worked perfectly together. The sentiment & banner are also from the A Bit On The Side Toppers & More kit. Finishing touch was to add a few pearl gems.
