Art journaling with water colour pencils - YouTube video
Using just water colour pencils as your main medium, I wanted to share an idea for an A4 art journal page. I'm also using my Shady Designs Make Your Own Bit stamp set for all the stamping elements.

When I received my Personal Impressions Woodless Water Colour Pencils I knew that one of the things I wanted to try was quick background building. I have also been wanting to create an art journal page using my Shady Designs "A Bit On The Side Collection".

The background was made using just two colours and blended out with water. When dry the outline shapes were stamped with Versafine Clair Fallen Leaves from Shady Designs Make Your Own Bit stamp set
I stamped out additional images using a range of the smaller stamps from Shady Designs A Bit On The Side Collection. Coloured with the Personal Impressions Woodless Water Colour Pencils and added to my page. Sentiment is from Tim Holtz Metallic Sticker Book.

The pencils are incredibly versatile and I adore the fact that once the base layer is dry, you can work on top without moving the layer underneath. That's fabulous for background building and also you do not have to worry about making mud!
I have a video coming out shortly showing lots of the different ways I tried the pencils out. I mainly covered techniques that I want to use the pencils for in my style of crafting.
