NEW Christmas stamps for 2023: celebrate the season with Katkin Krafts

I was super chuffed to be asked by Cathie & Mel of Pink Ink Designs to demo for both Pink Ink Designs but also for their sister company, Katkin Krafts.

Wisdom Owl A5 stamp set

I stamped this commanding, detail design on to watercolour card. Next I drew a circle around the owl to make my glowing moon. Using Pink Ink Designs Ink It Inks (sounds like a tongue twister) I created my background. Once dry, I coloured the owl with the same inks.

Wild & Free A5 stamp set

How beautiful and detailed is this stamped image? I stamped the image on to water colour card, masked with masking fluid and began making my background with Pink Ink Designs Ink It Inks. Once the background was dry, I added Pink Ink Designs Stardust mica powder around the outline. I think this creates a wonderful highlight effect. 

Some of the smaller accessory stamps were added, along with the sentiment from the same stamp set.

Antlers A5 stamp set

I wanted this card just to showcase this striking design without too many "bells & whistles". As before, I began by making my background using Pink Ink Designs Ink It Inks. Once dry, I stamped the Antlers image on to the background. I added additional colour highlights using Raspberry Ink It ink. 

The sentiment is from the Wild & Free stamp set.

Yuletide Greetings A5 stamp set

The Yuletide Greetings stamp set comes with 2 main images. For my cards, I decided to use each separately. I have taken the wonderful stag/reindeer image and used the horns as a way to extend my design. The foliage can be found in the Wisdom Owl stamp set and baubles from Antlers stamp set. I've kept the colouring simple using Pink Ink Designs Ink It Inks.

I wanted to keep this card design simple and un-fussy. I masked off the beautiful girl image and added my background using a mix of the Pink Ink Designs Ink It inks & Stardust mica powders. I wanted a soft look. I stamped inside the heart shape I created and added the bird.

The two cards below, bring in many of the different smaller elements and I wanted to show, that they themselves could be used to create wonderful Christmas card designs.

Both cards have been stamped and coloured with pink Ink Designs Ink It Inks plus Stardust mica powders.

These beautiful images can also be used to create wonderful art journal pages too. I will be sharing these page designs in another blog post.

I suppose I wanted one post for cards and one for journals as both are made in a similar fashion but not ... gosh I hope that makes sense sense 😕

I have made sure that each photo has a Pinterest button added making it easier for you to save any of the designs to your own Pinterest boards.
