Art journaling & card making: a creative duo

  I do love when you can get out different stamp collections to create an art journal page. They shouldn't work together but when combined, actually do 💙

I have used Shady Designs Floral Frames stamp collection alongside the new Shady Designs Blooming Marvellous Collection.

Imagination takes you everywhere

This sentiment speaks volumes to me as an art journal page is taking our imagination and throwing it down on a page! It's one of my Shady Designs sentiments from one of my very first paper collections.

I began by adding blobs (technical term 😂) of colour with peeled paint & twisted citron oxide inks. On top of those I added some stenciling detail using the new Shady Designs Garden stencil. Another layer was added using the new A7 Hidden Layers background stamp.

I stamped the floral frame in to the centre of my page and added a little bit of colour to the outside edges using a green micron pen. All images have been coloured using my Ecoline pens.

In the bottom right corner I added the tree image from Beautiful Day stamp set and "planted" it in to a pot from Planterette stamp set.

Next my favourite part - adding the fluff and frou frou. On the edges of the page, I added more stamped images from both the Floral Frames Collection & Blooming Marvellous collection. 

To make everything tie in together, I then added additional over stamping using lots of the smaller elements from various stamp sets from Shady Designs Blooming Marvellous collection.

Today is now a day of taking photos and video editing which once done, I'm really pleased but oh the pain of editing.
