Pattern building with stamps: create stunning designs

For me, creating patterns using the smaller stamps in my Shady Designs Collections is a "must". I love how the patterns can be quickly made and how they can cross over to card making or art journaling.

You are my reason to smile

This is the pattern I created in my YouTube video using 4 stamps from Shady Designs Make Your Own Bit stamp set. Link to video is below ...

I have used Craft Artist Pearl Fusion Inks to stamp all the outlines and also to colour the pattern afterwards. I wanted the pattern to have a "soft" appearance.

I added extra details using a white Sakura gel pen, plus Sakura sparkle pens in blue & purple. The final finishing touch was to add some sequins & gems.

I had a flash of inspiration whilst editing the video and finished finished my card. This then made me think what would this pattern look like if it was stamped in black ink ...

 Just to say ...

I have used exactly the same stamps and coloured in the same way as before but the pattern now looks so different with a black outline! I have changed the colour order but not the colours.

I added the same highlights with a Sakura white gel pen. Additional details are using Sakura sparkle pens in blue & purple. A few sequins were my finishing touch.

One of the other projects I shared in my YouTube video, I also finished and turned the background in to a card. This is a completely different color way and stamped on to a gel print.

I used the same blue Pearl Fusion ink to colour some of the stamped images. For the extra colour/definition, I have used a black Sakura micron pen & a Sakura white gel pen.

Again I couldn't resist adding a few sequins as a finishing touch. I have kept the mat & layers very simple too.

Sometimes my brain racing off in different directions can be a complete pain but this time, I'm super chuffed with all the finished cards.

Thank you ever so much for popping over today & can't wait to share more ideas with you very soon.

Until then, take care,

Lou
