Be Yourself No Matter What They Say - idea #1

For me, the Pink Ink Astrology series of stamps, allows me to grab my art journals and gives me a wonderful creative feel for the stamps. Making a project that isn't confined to a card front gives me space to explore different layering ideas.

My first art journal page is on a piece of Ecoline watercolour card, (which is slightly larger than A4), which is now mounted in to my large landscape journal. I stamped the beautiful Scorpio image and then added my Ink It inks to create the background colour.

Next I had great fun creating the stamped background with the other detail stamps in the Scorpio stamp set. In my head, I wanted to create a flowing pattern which gives the illusion that Scorpio is floating along in the movement - hope that makes sense?

I coloured all the smaller details with a black micron pen and added a few white gel pen highlights. I'm still undecided whether to add the stamp quote, "Be yourself no matter what they say" to the page. Will live without it for the moment & just see ....

Be Yourself No Matter What They Say - idea #2

For my second art journal page, I decided to use my Dyan Reavley A5 journal. The paper in this journal has a cream undertone and I think this adds a different feel to the colours.

I have kept the overall design the same, so I could have a comparison, but changed up the colours for the background & Scorpio.

For me, this page takes on a more moodier feel. What do you think?
