Blooming Marvellous: 3 stunning card ideas with Shady Designs stamps

Shady Designs' Blooming Marvellous stamps are a beautiful and versatile collection that can be used to create a variety of stunning cards. In this blog post, I'm sharing three card ideas that are perfect for any occasion. They all started with one idea ...!

All cards show how all the Blooming Marvellous stamp sets can be combined.

Each of the card designs had the same starting point using all the different pots from all the Shady Designs Blooming Marvellous stamp sets, to create the basic layout. By mixing up/layering the pots, you could then make similar cards with a few tweaks!

Card idea #1

The finished card measures 5" x 7" and I think nearly all Shady Designs Blooming Marvellous stamped imaged have been stamped on to a smooth watercolour card. All images coloured using Ecoline pens. Full list of all items used can be found at the bottom of this post.

Card idea #2

The design for this card is a "near enough" replica of card idea #1 (see above). The finished card measures 5" x 7" and has been stamped on to a smooth watercolour card. All images from the different Shady Designs Blooming Marvellous stamp sets are coloured using Bruynzeel pencils & Bruynzeel watercolour pencils. Card idea #3

For my final card idea using Shady Designs Blooming Marvellous Collection, I have used the plant pots as the feature. The background foliage was made using Shady Designs Leafing About A7 stamp set with Crushed Olive distress ink. I have then added lots of different flowers from all the different stamp sets from Shady Designs Blooming Marvellous Collection. All the images have been coloured using distress inks.

For all three cards, I have used different watercolour mediums: Ecoline Brush Pens, Bruynzeel pencils & distress inks.

Shady Designs' Blooming Marvellous stamp sets are a delightful collection of floral and botanical designs perfect for creating stunning, unique handmade cards. All the images have been hand drawn by myself, Lou Sims (if you didn't know 😂) and then the art work turned in to stamps.
