An In-Depth Look at the Frame By Frame Collection from Shady Designs
Welcome to my in-depth look at the Shady Designs Frame By Frame Collection! This stamp and stencil set has become one of my go-to resources for creating layered looks on both cards and art journal pages.

Cardmaking & Art Journaling with the Frame by Frame Collection
The Frame By Frame Collection is more than just a stamp & stencil set; I'm hoping it's a "window" to to maybe create in a new way. Okay, enough blurb, what can you do?
- Create elegant borders and frames: To create elegant borders, I often stamp the larger frames in a soft grey and then layer a slightly smaller frame inside it in a darker colour
- Easy layering: Combine multiple frames to create dimensional and visually striking compositions
- Storytelling with photos or ephemera: Use the frames to highlight specific elements in your artwork or journal.
- Explore mixed media: Experiment with different mediums like inks, paints, stencils, and markers within the frames for a unique look.
The most important thing to me abuot Shady Designs .... I really do want you to be able to create layered looks to your projects but without having to do lots of different steps or have to have lots of different products to achieve this.

Creating an Art Journal Page with Frame by Frame stamp set
I try extremely hard to ensure all my designs will always work with each other. I'm a crafter too and knowing I can combine different sets, old & new without having to think if they will work, to me it's important that each collection can be "stand alone" but works alongside any other Shady Designs collections you may have.
For this art journal page, I have used the Frame By Frame Collection with my Shady Designs Floral Frames Collection.
I really wanted to create an art journal page that was completely different to the one we will create in the workshop. I have used the Frame by Frame stamp set and various different Shady Designs stencils: Framed, Numbers & Square trio.
I have also added extra background stamping using Shady Designs Hidden Layers A7 stamp. Once my background was complete, I stamped 2 floral images from Frame It With Flowers stamp set in complimentary colours. Background & stamps have all been coloured with my Personal Impressions Woodless Watercolour Pencils.
