Card #1: Penciled Charm

I have stamped the image with Versafine Clair Nocturne and coloured with Bruynzeel Pencils. I did not want a true blended look as was trying to go for a vibrant shell on Stanley.

I laid down a blanket colour layer in yellow - on the shell - and orange - on Stanley's body. Gradually I added additional colours on top and when happy, burnished in place.

Card #2: Marker Magic

I stamped this image with Memento Tuxedo Black and choose to use more muted colour tones on the images. The shell had a base layer of lime green & Stanley's body, light warm grey.

I chose to stick to greens and blues as thought they would seem like camouflage colours and Albert & Stanley would then blend in with wherever they decided to adventure to - also worked well with the stenciled background!

I think this exercise was a valuable one for  me because it helped me see that Stanley & Albert look magnificent whichever colouring medium I choose to use. Also what was interesting was how I went for two completely different vibes and not sure because that was because of the colouring mediums or I wanted a different feel? One to ponder on ...
