Good times + crazy friends = amazing memories

When I originally designed the Encircle Stamp Set it was to create quick backgrounds with just one stamp set, The more and more I created with it, the more ideas flowed. Suddenly, I could see complete frames!

I have stamped the main image with hickory smoke oxide ink, wiping the ink away from the outer circle, in one corner. I repeated the same process in the opposite corner. I then coloured in certain sections of the stamp with hickory smoke & spiced marmalade oxide inks.

On another piece of card, I stamped, coloured & cut out lots of the different stamped elements. I have added these to my card and finished with a sentiment. I added a few faux gems as a finishing touch.

Card idea #2

After making this card, it made me wonder what the same design would look like on a patterned background. Grabbing one of my own designs (from Shady Designs Clean Inkings ), I stamped the same layout using the same ink colours ...

This time Encircle imagery really did become a background stamp blending seamlessly with the colours on the paper. The hickory smoke adds that extra "ghostly" feel to the whole design.

Did you notice I used the same sentiment? Doesn't it also change the look on this card being in a different shape?

I've put both cards photos now beside each other and they look completely different, although composition wise, they are not! I think the one on the coloured background would make either a wonderful art journal page or tag ... ummm, may have to try that now.

The Encircle Stamp set was from my 2nd release of stamps over 2 years ago now - OMG where has that time gone! I think it's served it's time superbly and now should enjoy it's retirement.

There are only a handful of the stamp sets left so grab yours before they are "gone, gone".
