A twist on a gatefold card ...
Happy Friday everyone and I can't believe how quickly this week has flown by. Maybe all the awful windy weather we have been having this week, has blown the days away to make it appear as if we have not had a week! Not sure why I'm moaning because after all it is Friday ...
It is the start of a new challenge over at Polka Doodles Challenges and the theme this fortnight is "Father's Day/anything male". I decided to use one of the pre-coloured design sheets on Work and Play 7 to create my card ... which is sort of but not officially, a gate fold card ...
My overall card size is A5 but I wanted to make the gates different to reflect the theme of the design sheet, "gone fishin' ". One side is designed to be half a fishing jacket ...
and the other side is a fishing theme. Neither gate side fully meets in the middle either and that was because I wanted the fishing image to stand out.
I have added several white panels inside so that you can write in the card so it can be used. All the elements used are found on the design sheet, so the only extra thing I needed to print off was 2 papers.
I do love the design sheets on all the CDs because if you are pushed for time, yo can still create something that looks as if it took ages to make.
Have a great Friday everyone,
Lou
