Sticks & Bones Dinosaur themed album - printable download collection from Polkadoodles - Part 2

In yesterdays post, I shared the first part of my Sticks & Bones album - see HERE - today is the 2nd post sharing more of the album.

I've decided to split my post in to 3 posts otherwise I think blogger will go in to melt down mode 😀 and also because it would be way too long otherwise.

You can check out all the Sticks and Bones range of digital goodies HERE.

OVER VIEW

When Nikky brought out the Sticks and Bones collection, I knew straight away what I wanted to do. A quick print of several design sheets, digi images, sentiments and a few paper designs, my mini album came to life. All the pages have been made using 12" card and folded in different ways to create hidden pockets and openings. All were hand sewn on to the spine and then the cover was added.

Very few "real" embellishments have been added and I have tried to rely on the embellishments from the collection. As an added "extra" (or faff as my family would call it), I have covered all the inner spine with frayed hessian. I think this adds to the prehistoric feel/theme.

Finally, the collection has a mixture of boy & girl stone age images. How cool is that?

A QUICK RE-CAP

This is a 7" x 7" album, with a 1cm gap between the 6" x 6" pages. I have used 12" x 12" card creating folds to make hidden pockets, flips & flaps. All my elements, pages etc have been printed off on Polkadoodles Ultimate Graphic paper - perfect for this task.

My previous shared up to page four - see HERE - and today I'm sharing some of the other pages.

PAGE 5

Now ... how to describe page 5. The page has been split across the middle to create two tabs that open outwards. The bone and button are the mechanism to open the pages and they reveal ...

... an inner panel where you can place a photo, journaling or even draw a picture straight in to this area.

PAGES 6 & 7

Page 6 is an area to place a photo which can be slid behind the "belly band". In fact you could add a photo and then another card/tag in front, The photo is then only revealed when you remove the tag.

However, for page 7  I made an acetate storage pocket to store, well anything you want. The  acetate envelope is secured with a button clasp. I have used the acetate envelope to store my tags and tickets. The T-Rex image has been cut out and stuck to the front of the acetate envelope as added interest.

PAGES 8 & 9

For pages 8 and 9, I used the great background image pages from the collection. I adore these images so much, I couldn't quite face covering them...! In hindsight, these could have become hidden pockets by only adding glue on 2 sides.

On page 9 I also created another secret pocket and have added some tags. The wonderful cracked egg image, is a "holder" which stops all the bits falling out.

Making tags or bookmarks is a great way to use up the scraps. Fold the paper in half, cut out the tag shape & bingo, you have a tag card.

Going to stop at this point as there is quite a few more pages to share. As yesterday & today, I will put these on a separate blog post. If you didn't seen yesterdays post, you can check it out HERE.
