Shady Designs Gather Together stamp set - easy card making ideas

The Shady Designs Gather Together stamp set does look a little bizarre when you see it at first but ... it does have a purpose! I designed the stamp to create a multi-layered look with just one stamp which worked for your card making, art journals, mixed media pages. The stamp set works to suit you the creative.

Using the main Shady Designs Gather Together focal stamp, I used this to then make 5" x 7" tent fold cards.

Where to start?

On a piece of Dolly Dimples Crafts Mixed media card, I stamped the main image from Shady Designs Gather Together stamp set with frayed burlap oxide ink. Next using salty ocean oxide ink, I added extra stamped details. These stamps are part of the Gather Together stamp set. To break up the design, I further stamping with picked raspberry & stamps from Shady Designs Sur-Round stamp set.

This now is my reference for my card designs. Using this design. I cut it down the middle and then made two cards from the one piece.

The cards are very similar in design but by changing where the flowers and sentiments were laced, looked slightly different too. I do hope that makes sense!

For this card, I turned the image upside down. I added some shading to the edges with picked raspberry and a little bit of stencilling - Bursting Out stencil.

The flowers were clustered together at the top and the sentiment placed in the middle. Faux pearl gems were the finishing touch.

Do what makes your soul shine

For this card, I again turned the main piece upside down. I liked the idea of the leaves being at the bottom. As before, I added some shading to the edges with picked raspberry and a little bit of stencilling - Bursting Out stencil.

The flowers this time were placed using the pink circle areas as the guide. The sentiment was then placed near the flowers. Again, faux pearl gems were used as the finishing touch.
