Tonic Studios Tiny Treasured Tome die set - 3D book themed desk tidy
Tonic Studios recently had a wonderful "One Day Wonder" called "Tiny Treasured Tome" which creates the most beautiful little box and cover. However don't be fooled by the finished projects size as there are so many things you can do with the dies to create larger projects.
This is my sixth project using this incredibly versatile die set and decided to make a desk tidy, to appear as if they were books ...
MY PROJECT
I have cut both the inner & outer dies five times from Craft Perfect kraft card. The inner part became the storage area for my desk tidy. On the outer portion, I decorated this first with Craft Perfect speciality papers and then attached these to each of the boxes, forming a curved edge on the front.
Once I had all my mock books made, I joined them together with wet glue, holding each in place with magnets until dry.
The spine of each of my mock books has been decorated as my final finishing flourish. I've used papers from Teresa Collins called "Hello my name is ..." which has a raft of wonderful sayings.
TINY TREASURED TOME PROJECTS
I have created 6 other different projects using the Tiny Treasured Tome and no two are alike. I really wanted to push the dies and see how much crafty versatility they really had. My other projects are below. Click on the photos to be taken to the relevant blog posts.
I hope you can now see the full potential of this small but mighty die set. It really is a versatile set of dies and I've has great fun playing. What will you make first when you receive your dies? Please share.
